Inclusive School Award
Isn't it time to recognise your school's inclusive practices?
The Inclusive School Award is the initial award schools will receive when they enter the IQM process. Schools secure the award once they have completed a Self Evaluation Report (SER), followed by an in-school assessment. This Inclusive School Award recognises the ongoing commitment by schools to provide the very best education for all children, irrespective of background.
You have five years from registration with IQM to complete the process of achieving the Inclusive School Award. The Self Evaluation Report has eight sections and we find it takes schools around two terms to complete. Once this is completed you can contact us to arrange a date for one of our Assessors to visit your school.
Remember IQM recognises the amazing work that is ALREADY happening in your school
The Inclusion Quality Principles…

Promotes Access and Diversity in All Settings
We believe in cultivating an environment where diversity and differences are accepted and celebrated.

Creates an Environment Where Everyone Can Succeed
We believe any obstacles, big or small, which prevent people achieving to their full potential should be removed.

Improves the Inclusive Nature
of all Schools
Every school, regardless of location or entry requirements, should create a facility where individual pupils can grow.

Raises Achievement for Everyone in the School
An inclusive environment benefits not only pupils, but also staff, parents and everyone associated with the school.
IQM Assessment Costs
The Inclusive School Award lasts for three years before a school needs to undergo reassessment. An IQM team member will get in touch during the previous academic year to remind you of this and forward on the necessary current documentation.
